Children’s Health Fund

Children are our future so pediatric research is of utmost importance.

Despite the prevalence of pediatric disease, from aggressive cancers to developmental disorders, pediatric research is among the underfunded categories. Based on public National Institute of Health data, the average annual budget devoted to the pediatric research portfolio has been declining in the past decade with only 3.5% being spent on children’s health. This decline, in combination with high institutional overhead fees, leaves the researchers in this field with very little funding opportunity to pursue much needed scientific studies.

Unlike contributing to a foundation, on our platform you can directly and transparently help increase funding to pediatric research by backing this fund and/or any of the pre-vetted crowdfunding campaigns related to children’s health.

How this Fund works

On our platform we review and feature high-quality scientific projects related to Children’s Health research. Once the goal of this Fund is met, it will get distributed to up to three of these pre-vetted studies based on several criteria: novelty and/or use of cutting-edge technology, significance in advancing knowledge within the field, and lastly meeting or exceeding its own crowdfunding campaign goal!

This means you, as a contributor, get to advance scientific research within this field by directly funding impactful research projects without having to fully understand all the scientific jargon.
